In August 2026, ValeCap acted as exclusive financial advisor to EOS Investment Management (“EOS IM”) in structuring a €62 million project financing package for the construction of a 60 MW Ready-to-Build photovoltaic project located in Sicily.

EOS IM is an independent fund manager and independent power producer, active in the development, construction and operation of renewable energy power plants, with a strong focus on photovoltaic projects.

The financing package consisted of a construction facility aimed at financing the project’s construction capex, with repayment supported by project cash flows with full merchant exposure. In addition, upon execution of an Energy Release or Power Purchase Agreement, either before or after Commercial Operation Date, the financing provides for a true-up facility aimed at further increasing leverage and refinancing the equity already injected through an extraordinary distribution.

The financing package also included ancillary facilities comprising a VAT facility, a DSR facility and a guarantee facility to support guarantees that may be required under the relevant Energy Release or PPA Agreement.

The two-tranche financing structure provides EOS IM with flexibility in determining the project’s route-to-market strategy during the construction period and for a certain period following COD.

UniCredit acted as lender, as well as agent, global coordinator, structuring mandated lead arranger and green loan coordinator for the Facility.

This transaction highlights ValeCap’s expertise in supporting renewable energy developers in structuring flexible financing solutions tailored to their route-to-market strategy, while further strengthening its track record in the financing of large-scale photovoltaic projects in Italy.
