Press release:

In March 2026, ValeCap acted as exclusive financial and model advisor to Andion CH4 Renewables ("Andion" or the "Company"), in structuring a €24 million long-term financing package (the "Transaction") for the construction of a fully-permitted large-scale biomethane plant in Mirandola (MO). With a maximum annual production capacity of around 44 GWh (approximately 3,000 tons of LBG), the plant will process more than 70,000 tons of manure-based feedstock per year under long-term supply agreements with local farmers.

The project is developed under Italy's DM 2022 biomethane incentive scheme and benefits from a long-term LBG offtake agreement with SOL Group, which also holds a 20% equity stake in the borrower. The plant is expected to enter operation during Q2 2026.

The financing was provided by a pool of lenders comprising BNL and Mediocredito Centrale, supported by SACE’s Green Guarantee. The package also includes a VAT Facility and a Debt Service Reserve Facility.

Controlled by Equitix through Equitix Next Generation Fund and also backed by Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Andion is a European biogas platform that develops, designs, builds, owns and operates renewable energy infrastructure which converts organic waste into biogas and biomethane across Italy and Northern Europe.

This transaction further demonstrates ValeCap’s expertise across renewable gas and the broader energy transition sector, reinforcing its growing role as a trusted advisor to institutional investors in the structuring and execution of complex biogas and biomethane transactions.
